by Harry Gamboa Jr. (Author)
Xoloitzcuintli Doppelganger and other stories by Harry Gamboa Jr. explores the stratospheric and subterranean aspects of perception via fiction regarding 21st Century urban life. Encounters with riots, fluctuating landscapes, and unidentified phantoms that roam the streets of M xico City, Berlin, and Los Angeles are revealed as dreamscapes. Stark humor confronts surreal moments where Aztec realms play with contemporary Chicano reflections. Xoloitzcuintli Doppleganger and other stories serve as a literary afterimage that will persist long after reading the last page.
