In his "first career" of 35 years in retail, television, radio, and newspaper organizations, Len M. Allen was a proven "word-smith" writing hundreds of advertising and marketing messages for print and broadcast media. During the last seven years of that "first career" he was the Advertising Director for large, multi-million dollar retail business groups in Tennessee, New Mexico and Texas. He then moved on to a "second career" in ministry, as a Senior Pastor in Dallas and El Paso, Texas where his word-smithing skills served a higher purpose. Allen has been involved with the ministries of Campus Crusade for Christ, The Navigators, and as full-time, headquarters staff at Jews for Jesus. He currently serves as the Adult Ministries Assistant at Silverdale Baptist Church and as an instructor for the Silverdale Bible Institute in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He has spoken to large meetings of businessmen, young people, military personnel, and civic groups along with writing a weekly devotional blog at www.LenMAllen.com.
