Author Biography
Laura Alcoba (La Plata, 1968) vivió hasta los diez años en Argentina, cuando su familia se trasladó a París huyendo de la dictadura. Alcoba se licenció en letras y actualmente trabaja como profesora universitaria en la Universidad de París. También ha sido editora y traductora. Su primera novela, la celebradísima La casa de los conejos, que fue publicada originalmente en Francia por Gallimard en 2008, ha sido traducida a múltiples idiomas y sigue teniendo un impacto profundo en miles de lectores. Más tarde, en 2013, aparecería El azul de las abejas (finalista del Premio Médicis y del Premio Femina) que, inspirándose en la correspondencia con su padre, preso en Argentina, narra su exilio en Francia junto al resto de su familia. La danza de la araña (ganadora del Premio Marcel Pagnol), de 2017, cierra esta emocionante trilogía con la que Laura Alcoba se ha asegurado un puesto único en la literatura latinoamericana.
