Emily S. Whitten is an attorney, comics and fiction writer, pop culture journalist and program host, TV and audio media personality, and convention organizer. Since writing The Underfoot, she also delights in traveling all over the country as a guest at pop culture conventions, to meet fans and talk about the series. Emily resides in the greater D.C. area, and in her copious spare time, she enjoys crafting, reading, exploring the great outdoors, and looking after her tiny hamster. Michelle Nguyen is a Vietnamese-American illustrator and comic artist based in Portland, Oregon. After obtaining her Fine Arts degree from Portland State University and leaving the gallery scene, she pursued and obtained her lifelong dream of working in comics. Michelle has previously illustrated the Reckstar webcomic, and contributed artwork to the Misadventures of Grumpy Cat & Pokey series (Dynamite) and the Ignatz and Eisner-award winning anthology Elements: Fire (Beyond Press). The Underfoot: The Mighty Deep was her first fully illustrated graphic novel.
