Gary Hawke, who hosted and worked closely with Roy Bhaskar in producing the original streamed talks, has edited the book. He has expanded the original text addressing the questions that students raised during the live streaming through the inclusion of over a 100 footnotes, tables, and diagrams.

Author Biography
Roy Bhaskar (15 May 1944 - 19 November 2014) was a British philosopher best known as the initiator of the philosophical movement of Critical Realism (CR). He was a World Scholar at the Institute of Education, University College London. Gary Hawke (www.garyhawke.org ) has worked for over 20 years helping people and organisations managed change. He is currently one of the conveners of the UCL/IOE Critical Realism Reading Group, and continues the legacy created by Roy Bhaskar of making Critical Realism an important voice in the drive towards human emancipation.
