He graduated from the State University of New York. Prior to a successful career in journalism, Tracy was a former aide to New York State Senator Norman Levy (R-Nassau County). He was born, raised, and still resides in the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains, with his wife, Angela, and teenaged daughters Sam and Shay.
