Author Biography
Pilar López Ávila (Cartagena, 1969) es Doctora en Veterinaria por la Universidad de Extremadura, y en la actualidad imparte docencia como profesora de Biología y Geología en el IES "Norba Caesarina" de Cáceres. Entre sus publicaciones caben destacar Las divertidas aventuras de las letras (Bruño, 2010), Ayobami y el nombre de los animales (Cuento de Luz, 2017), por el que obtiene medalla de oro en los Latino Books Awards, y es seleccionado como mejor álbum ilustrado por el New York Times y la Biblioteca de Nueva York en 2018; El pequeño colibrí tiene un problema (Bruño, 2019), La cometa de los sueños (Cuento de Luz, 2019), Lávate las manos, María (Bruño, 2020). Para adultos, ha recopilado algunos cuentos en el volumen Tararí que te vi y otros relatos (Norbanova, 2021).
Paula Merlán (Vigo, 1979) Es Maestra de Educación Primaria por la Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca y Licenciada en Derecho por la Universidad de La Coruña. Actualmente, compagina la docencia con la escritura. Muchos de sus libros han sido traducidos a varios idiomas como: gallego, euskera, catalán, inglés, francés, coreano, italiano, griego y malgache. Su obra ha sido premiada en los International Latino Book Awards (EEUU). En 2018 consiguió el Primer Premio por el libro Una sorpresa para Tortuga (NubeOcho, 2017) en la categoría de LIBRO PARA NIÑOS MÁS INSPIRADOR. En 2020, obtuvo Mención Especial por el libro La cometa de los sueños en la categoría de MEJOR LIBRO EDUCATIVO (Cuento de Luz, 2019). La prestigiosa revista School Library Journal de Nueva York, seleccionó su libro El dedo en la nariz (NubeOcho 2018), como uno de los mejores libros infantiles de 2019. Arancha Perpiñán (Madrid, 1979) es Ingeniera Agrónoma por la Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, profesión que ejerció durante más de diez años antes de dedicarse a la ilustración. Se formó también en Diseño Gráfico e Ilustración y, actualmente, se dedica a la ilustración de literatura infantil y juvenil. En 2018 es finalista en el II Premio Internacional de Ilustración del Salón del Libro Infantil y Juvenil de Pontevedra.
