Our community is not only being devastated by these social-ills, but the gains we have made over the last hundred years through sacrifice and protests, are also being decimated. I note the definition of 'decimate' because I want to emphasize the point that we are literally dying by the tens-of-thousands at both our own hands as well as at those of police officers, who deem Black lives as expendable.
