After escaping from a Mexican prison, Diego Medina, a former member of the violent Los Zetas cartel, along with several members of his gang cross the border into Texas. After paying one of his cousins a large sum of money to find out where Paul Waring is, Diego and his crew, including a violent killer he has hired, head to Connecticut to locate the retired state trooper. Days later, in Southbury, Connecticut, another of Diego's cousins stumbles across Paul, Donna, and Paul's mother at a small family-run restaurant. As Diego and his crew race to Southbury to fulfill his plan of killing Paul, they also have plans of knocking off another armored car in the small rural town.
