Prior to her principalship, she was the District Supervisor of Reading, grades 6-12 in Tampa. Her recognizable achievement as principal was working with her faculty, staff, and district personnel to establish the first three year stand alone Middle Years International Baccalaureate Programme in North America. The school is Williams IBMYP, a certified International Baccalaureate Programme for middle grade students. In Tampa, she was recognized as Middle School Principal of the Year for her leadership in school initiatives. In her pastime, she enjoys creative writing, mentoring students, traveling, and playing Duplicate Bridge.
