Author Biography
Laura Bruneau, Ph.D., is a professor at Adams State University in the Department of Counselor Education. Bruneau has coauthored four publications in the area of animal-assisted interventions. In her most important role, Bruneau is Moose's human.
Moose is a nine-year-old St. Bernard-Heeler mix. Moose and Bruneau are a registered Pet Partners therapy dog team, providing animal-assisted education and animal-assisted activity programs to their community. Beverly Timmons, EdD, is a professor emeritus at Kent State University in the Department of Teaching, Curriculum, and Leadership Studies. Timmons develops balanced, effective literacy programs for children and teachers. Mic Ru is a self-taught fine artist from childhood who later would hone his skills by obtaining a BFA in graphic design and illustration at New Mexico State University.
