Extracto de entrevista en Tribuna Libre PREGUNTA: Ya nos ha hecho una gamberrada. Novela independiente y al mismo tiempo, novena de la serie de Las doce puertas?
RESPUESTA: Exactamente así. Los nuevos lectores espero que la disfruten y los que provienen de la saga, que sepan encontrar las conexiones con la serie, que las tiene y son muchas. De hecho, esta aventura desemboca en "La reina del mar", continuación de la presente y el definitivo final de la serie de "Las doce puertas", con Rebeca y Carlota de nuevo en acción, con alguna incorporación que sorprenderá a mis lectores.
P. Qué tiene que ver Mira a tu alrededor con Las doce Puertas?
R: Eso lo tendrán que descubrir mis inteligentes lectores. Hugo Font es un personaje misterioso que quizá esconda algún secreto.
P: Vuelve al número 1 de ventas. Le sorprende?
R: Sí y no. La historia que narro es muy potente y vital, pero repetir el éxito de las ocho novelas anteriores era muy difícil. Es el libro que más me ha costado escribir hasta ahora, muy bien recibido por las críticas mundiales.
P: En cuanto a usted, estudió Derecho, un máster en administración de empresas (MBA) en Madrid, aprendió idiomas... para acabar de político y escritor.
R: Jajajaja, dicho así parece que he ido a menos, verdad? Haber sido concejal en mi ciudad durante más de seis años, además de un orgullo, es vocacional, como la escritura. Disfruten de una apasionante historia, donde confluyen las dos guerras mundiales y el final de la Guerra Civil Española, vista desde los ojos de un joven español.
