I'm an undeserving sinner and beggar before Christ. Yet I'm loved despite my sinful nature. I'm free because my sin died upon the cross with the death of Christ.
I am loved and called to return that love to others. Something I struggle mightily with. A cross I have to pick up daily and struggle to carry.
Christ took from me the punishment that I deserve. While it doesn't free me from the earthly consequences of my sin. I'm free from the ultimate death and eternal separation from Christ because of my sin.
I've lived a hard life and realized I'm not alone. Many people live seemingly impossible lives and survive them. Not completely unscathed though. A wound or many wounds and scars are left behind.
I write as an emotional response and release to particular events or reactions to things that take place, good and bad in my life.
God has a lesson for us in everything that happens in our lifetime. Learning to love through our circumstances is key. We gain closeness to God when we understand the message of the cross. The ultimate sacrificial love. Christ chose death on the cross for our sins, because of His great love for us.
There is and will be no greater love. I love both cautiously and deeply. Love often surprises and frightens me. I am God's benefactor and of His love. One thing is clear. I'm loved by the greatest love there is. Psalm 34:8 Taste and see, that the Lord is good: blessed is the one who takes refuge in Him.
