Author Biography
Michael Hogan es el autor de dieciocho libros, entre ellos una colección de cuentos, seis tomos de poesía, ensayos coleccionados sobre la enseñanza en Latinoamérica, dos novelas y la obra histórica Los Soldados Irlandeses de México, best-seller en que se basó la película de MGM protagonizada por Tom Berenger. Sus obras se han publicado en muchas revistas, tales como Paris Review, Harvard Review, Z-Magazine, Political Affairs y el Monthly Review. Hoy en día el Dr. Hogan es consejero en América Latina para el College Board y la oficina de Escuelas Extranjeras del Departamento de Estado de los EE.UU. Anteriormente, por catorce años se desempeñó como jefe del departamento de inglés en colegios extranjeros y profesor de relaciones internacionales de la Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara. Ha sido socio de la Sociedad Mexicana de Geografía y Estadística desde hace quince años.
