Sin ser técnicamente punks crearon el estilo que transformó radicalmente la historia del rock a mediados de la década del setenta. Su evidente primitivismo y minimalismo musical es más complejo que lo que se advierte a simple escucha; sus temas cortos, rápidos, directos, energéticos, divertidos, crudos y con melodía, contienen un trasfondo que va más allá de lo aparente.
