Moisés Naím es Distinguished Fellow del Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, un laboratorio mundial de pensamiento e ideas con sede en Washington D.C., y uno de los lideres de opinión más influyentes del mundo. Publica artículos semanales sobre actualidad internacional en diarios de todo el mundo y es uno de los columnistas más leídos en español. Ha escrito más de diez libros, varios de los cuales se han convertido en best sellers y se han traducido a decenas de idiomas. En 2011 obtuvo el Premio Ortega y Gasset por su trayectoria periodística, que incluye la dirección de la revista Foreign Policy entre 1996 y 2010.
Además, ha recibido tres veces el premio a la excelencia editorial otorgado por la American Society of Magazine Editors. En 2018, su programa semanal de televisión, Efecto Naím, ganó un Emmy. Antes de dedicarse al periodismo, Moisés Naím fue académico, ministro de Fomento de Venezuela y director ejecutivo del Banco Mundial. Naím obtuvo el doctorado en el Instituto Tecnológico de Massachusetts (MIT).
