Author Biography

Dr. Sy Silverberg M.D. graduated the University of Toronto Faculty of Medicine in 1967. After six years of General Practice he furthered his training with Masters and Johnson, Albert Ellis and other pioneers in the field of Sex Therapy and was subsequently certified as a sex therapist in Canada and the U.S.A.. Dr. Silverberg conducted a private practice in Toronto Canada helping thousands of individuals and couples during his forty years of practice. He wrote LASTING LONGER: The Treatment Program for Premature Ejaculation in 1978 for other therapists who have used it successfully for more than thirty years. It was revised in 2010 for use by the general public. After two years of retirement he returned to practice part-time, in Victoria, Canada. He and his wife Catarina spend summers in Victoria and winters in Ajijic Mexico, when they are not visiting six children and five grandchildren spread across Canada. Gardening and tennis are his favorite pastimes, followed closely by stone and metal sculpture and tinkering with old cars.
