Author Biography
Marisol LeBrón es profesora asociada de Estudios Feministas y Estudios Críticos Étnicos y Raciales en la Universidad de California, Santa Cruz. Es autora de Policing Life and Death: Race, Violence, and Resistance in Puerto Rico (University of California Press, 2019) y Contra Muerto Rico: lecciones del Verano Boricua (Editora Educación Emergente, 2021). LeBrón también es una de las cocreadoras del Puerto Rico Syllabus.
Yarimar Bonilla es la Directora del Centro de Estudios Puertorriqueños en Hunter College. También es profesora en el Departamento de Estudios Africanos, Latinos y Puertorriqueños de Hunter College y en el programa doctoral de Antropología en la Universidad de la Ciudad de Nueva York (CUNY). Escribe una columna mensual para El Nuevo Día titulada En Vaivén y es una frecuente columnista en publicaciones periódicas como el Washington Post, The Nation, Jacobin, y The New Yorker. Bonilla es autora de Non-sovereign Futures: French Caribbean Politics in the Wake of Disaster (2015). En el 2018, fue nombrada Becaria de Carnegie como apoyo para el desarrollo de su próximo libro, donde examina las consecuencias políticas, económicas y sociales del huracán María.
