Ana Ruiz Echauri nació en Pamplona en 1957. Licenciada en Ciencias de la Información por la Universidad de Navarra, ha desarrollado su carrera profesional en las tres ramas del periodismo: prensa, radio y, especialmente, televisión. Durante los últimos cuarenta años formó parte del equipo de informativos de TVE, dirigió la serie de documentales Un programa estelar, con contenidos relativos a la astronomía, y ha publicado varios libros en colaboración con otros autores.
