Author Biography
JESÚS DE LA ROSA nació en la ciudad de Santo Domingo el 19 de enero de 1936. Cursó estudios navales en la Academia Naval de la Marina de Guerra y militares en la Academia Militar Batalla de Las Carreras. Es licenciado en Pedagogía y Estadística, con una maestría en Educación Superior, de la Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo. Actualmente es profesor de esta universidad de la cual fue su Vicerrector Docente entre los años 1987 y 1990. En 1983 fue distinguido con el Premio Nacional de Didáctica Manuel de Jesús Peña y Reynoso por su obra Estadística Psicopedagógica; en el 2005 fue Premio Nacional de Historia José Gabriel García, modalidad testimonio, por su obra La Revolución de Abril de 1965, Siete Días de Guerra Civil. Jesús de la Rosa participó en la Guerra de Abril de 1965 como Comandante de tropas del Ejército Constitucionalista. En la actualidad, ostenta el rango de Capitán de Navío(R) de la Marina de Guerra. Su larga carrera de servidor público incluye la posición de Secretario de Estado de Deportes; Asesor Educativo del Poder Ejecutivo; Asesor Educativo del Congreso de la República; Miembro del Consejo Nacional de Educación Superior, Ciencia y Tecnología, entre otros desempeños.
