ANTONIO DE ABREU XAVIER (Venezuela, 1958) es doctor en Historia por la Universidad Central de Venezuela (2006) y por la Universidad de Évora, Portugal (2014). Magíster en Técnicas, Patrimonio y Territorios de la Industria por las universidades de París - La Sorbona, Padua y Évora (2009). Como especialista en las relaciones contemporáneas entre Europa y América Latina, es autor de los libros Carl Richard. Una epopeya sin gloria y Con Portugal en la maleta. Historias de vida de los portugueses en la Venezuela del siglo XX, así como de estudios sobre vínculos entre Alemania, España, Francia y Portugal con el norte de América del Sur y el Caribe. Becario de la Education, Audiovisual & Culture Executive Agency de la Unión Europea por el Proyecto de un museo sobre la historia del trabajo del inmigrante portugués en Venezuela (2007).
