Marisa nació en Guadalajara en 1965, es la mayor de seis hermanos. Fundadora y directora de Pastelerías Marisa desde 1992. Actualmente cuenta con poco más de 100 sucursales, incluyendo Pastelería Tía Lola y helados Dolce Natura. A pesar de haber estudiado psicología y una maestría en psicoterapia psicoanalítica, Marisa se dejó llevar por su pasión: los postres. Y como muchos otros emprendedores, su historia también comenzó en su cochera. Marisa promueve la construcción de empresas socialmente responsables, éticas, cercanas y conscientes. Es tiburona en el exitoso programa Shark Tank México. Uno de sus propósitos en la vida es inspirar a otras mujeres a perseguir sus sueños y crear la vida que desean, sin miedos y sin pedir disculpas. Mexicana orgullosa de su país, promueve y se involucra en la participación ciudadana, lo que la ha llevado a formar parte de múltiples consejos y movimientos.
