Desde su iniciación chamánica se dedica a la sanación. Frédérique Apffel-Marglin es catedrática emérita de antropología en la Universidad de Smith. Fundó en la Alta Amazonia Peruana la Asociación Sachamama en 2009. Ha publicado numerosos libros y artículos, entre los que destaca Contemporary Voices from Anima Mundi.

Frédérique Apffel-Marglin is an anthology professor at Smith University.
