El autor de este libro, Dr. Juan Carlos Albornoz, nació en Caracas, cursó estudios de Medicina en la Universidad Central de Venezuela y realizó estudios de Postgrado en la especialidad de Traumatología y Ortopedia, la cual ejerce desde el año 2002 en hospitales y clínicas de su ciudad natal. Ha publicado más de 20 trabajos en revistas científicas y congresos de traumatología obteniendo en 2 oportunidades premios nacionales por mejor trabajo libre (2002 Y 2003). Escribe regularmente sobre su especialidad en varias revistas de circulación nacional. Mantiene una página web de traumatología para todo público en la dirección: www.tutraumatologo.com.
