Frank Höchsmann, nacido en Hermannstadt/Sibiu, es licencia-do en economía empresarial y auditor de calidad. A mediados de los setenta dirigió un hotel de tamaño medio cerca de Colonia. Hasta finales de los ochenta fue jefe del departamento de¬ turismo de una universidad de ciencias aplicadas en Bogotá¬, Colombia. En los noventa fue responsable del departamento de formación de la Asociación de Hoteles y Restaurantes de Uruguay. Durante este tiempo, ¬ él y su esposa Martha publicaron varios libros sobre gestión de hoteles y turismo. Desde 2001 Frank Höchsmann vive nuevamente en Alemania. Aquí registró junto con su esposa Martha la empresa de servicios Hotqua (calidad de turismo hotelero), que está especializa-da en la educación y la formación, así como en las normas de calidad y la gestión de la calidad. Frank Höchsmann forma parte de la junta directiva de la Asociación de Turismo de Berlín-Reinickendorf desde hace varios años.
