Drawing upon interviews with the US Navy A-6 Intruder crews that deployed the AGM084 variant of the Harpoon in 1986 and 1988, the author brings unique insight to his examination of these fascinating duels.Author Biography
Lon Nordeen worked for over 40 years at the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and then as a marketing communications and business development manager for various McDonnell Douglas/Boeing products, including the Harpoon/SLAM ER missile. He has long-term interests in aerospace, defence technology and military history, and is author/co-author of more than 12 books on these subjects, including four for Osprey.
