Goldendoodles are a recent hybrid breed of dog with a lineage directly from Golden Retrievers and Poodles. They are not a recognised breed, and their genetics are still very unpredictable. A puppy could have inherited genes predominantly from either gene pool in its lineage. Some Goldendoodles have coats that shed regularly, and others have coats that shed very little.
