Author Biography

Brian Buccellato is a #1 New York Times best-selling author out of the comic book universe, where he is best-known for his work on DC Comics' titles THE FLASH, BATMAN, and INJUSTICE. In 2017, he completed Universal Studios' Feature Writer Program and was a member of Dan Lin's 2019 inaugural TV development Incubator at Rideback where he developed an original pilot for MRC. He previously adapted his Image comic series CANNIBAL for Square One, who also optioned his first creator-owned book, SONS OF THE DEVIL. Brian's recent comic work includes the yet to be released HEADWOUNDS for Legendary and Oscar Isaac, ARMORCLADS for Valiant Comics, and CHICKEN DEVIL, a new creator-owned with Aftershock Comics.

Raised in Queens, New York by a single Puerto Rican mother, Brian originally made his way into comics as a colorist for MARVEL and DC COMICS, before segueing to writing. He got his start in Hollywood working with director Tim Story, co-writing an indie thriller and eventually assisting on multiple studio films. A high school dropout who took the long road in life, Brian has gained a wealth of life experiences from odd jobs along the way, including working in a steel company, bartending, and ushering at a movie theater--all of which help to inform the grounded characters and worlds Brian creates. However, Brian's most influential role in life is father to his twenty-year-old son, Paris, and young daughters Sophia and Olivia.

Zid was born 2 days after Christmas in 1983, and he is living his childhood dream drawing and painting what he has always been most passionate about: comics. He is a multidisciplinary artist based in Malaysia and was nominated at #8 in 10 Comic Book Creators To Watch in 2013 on Newsarama.com for his maiden project with Robert Napton. His career with Legendary Comics began with Trick 'r Treat: Monster Mash in late 2015. This work relationship continued with the digital graphic novel prequel to the Netflix movie Spectral: Ghosts of War in 2016, and his biggest responsibility yet, Skull Island: The Birth of Kong in 2017. After a change of terrain with Lost in Space: Countdown to Danger, he returned to Skull Island for Kingdom Kong. In his free time (which is not a lot), you can see him updating his social media accounts with his slice of life comic as a work-from-home dad under the hashtag #DOAWFHD.

Drew Edward Johnson has been a professional illustrator for over 20 years, working on comics such as WONDER WOMAN, WONDER WOMAN '77, SENSATION COMICS, SUPERGIRL, THE AUTHORITY, BATMAN: LEGENDS OF THE DARK KNIGHT, SPIDER-MAN, FANTASTIC 4, GI JOE, STAR WARS, TOMB RAIDER, & many more.

Drew's contributions to Legendary Comics' Monsterverse include illustrating GODZILLA: DOMINION, GODZILLA: AFTERSHOCK, the official graphic novel prequel to GODZILLA: KING OF THE MONSTERS, and cover art on the final issue of the KONG: SKULL ISLAND series.

Dario Formisani was born in Palermo, Italy. After studying comics at the "Scuola del fumetto" in his city, he entered into the world of self-publications and Indie companies. He started his career in comics in 2019 with two Italian publications ("Padre Brown - Le stelle volanti" by ReNoir comics and "The cannibal family - La vergine di Norimberga" by Ed. Ink). In 2021, via his collaboration with Arancia Studio, he worked for French publisher Editions Petit a´ Petit ("QUEEN EN BD" - 2021, "HISTOIRES INCROYABLES DES 24H DU MANS VOL. 2" - 2023, "NINA SIMONE EN BD" - 2023) and as inker for BOOM! Studios on "Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Tea Time #01". Since 2021 he has been working as penciller and inker on a horror comic book project called "Resurrection House", created by Roy Burdine (Marvel, Dreamworks).

Niezam is an illustrator, comic artist, and designer based in Malaysia. He began his career as a designer after graduating from art and design college before focusing on illustration. He started making comics while apprenticing for a magazine called Fantasy. After that, he started producing many comics for local publications, newspapers, and novel covers. In 2005, he got the opportunity to run a new comic magazine and serve as head of illustration for one of the largest local publications before focusing on being a full-time freelance artist.
