José Betancourt: venezolano, Lic. en Matemáticas, de la Universidad Simón Bolívar (1970) con Maestría en Investigación de Operaciones, Universidad Central de Venezuela (1978). Docente universitario y consultor. Ha sido profesor en las siguientes instuciones: Universidad de Oriente, Universidad Central de Venezuela, Instituto Universitario Politécnico de Guayana, Instituto Universitario Politécnico de las Fuerzas Armadas, Universidad Nacional Abierta, Colegio Universitario Francisco de Miranda, Colegio Universitario de Los Teques Cecilio Acosta, Universidad Nacional Experimental de las Fuerzas Armadas. Profesor (y creador) del Postgrado en Gerencia de Servicios de la Universidad de Margarita UNIMAR. De 1979 a 1991 trabajó en la industria petrolera, en las áreas de automatización, informática y recursos humanos. Tutor de muchas tesis de Pre y Postgrado, en informática, sistemas, investigación de operaciones, Organización y Sistemas, gerencia ambiental, recursos humanos y gerencia de servicios. Desde 1991, ha sido Consultor/Director de: Grupo T.G. Red (Tecny Gestión 2000), Altamira Consulting, FUNDASISTEMA, APUNTENE. Actualmente es Presidente de LA RUTA DEL APRENDIZAJE que realiza programas de adiestramiento y capacitación avalados por la Universidad de Margarita.
