Author Biography
Vivek Om Matam is a normal child going to daycare. When, as a four year old, he started making up his own stories based on things he either saw or learned, his parents were amused and listened attentively. When his parents discovered Vivek narrating a story to other kids at daycare and those kids were listening with rapt attention, they realized that the stories held appeal for other four year olds. Hence, they captured these stories in the form of a book. Vivek narrates many stories, but not every story makes sense. Further, each story is delivered with many variations depending on his mood. His parents have selected some of the stories that hold together like conventional stories. His parents have tried to keep the stories true to the way Vivek narrated them but have had to make a few minor language edits to replace made-up words with common English words. When his parents asked him what he would like to call his book, he said, "Fantastic Stories."
