The situation spiraled out of control and the author was forced to get a lawyer after police showed up at his door with a search warrant. He spent the next few years fighting to prove his innocence because so many people had convicted him in their minds based on lies and no evidence. Child Abuse is a very serious crime. Allegations are equally serious as the author came to realize. You could spend the rest of your life in prison because of a misunderstanding or misinterpretation of a child's statements.
