Author Biography
José Luis López-Linares del Campo (Madrid, 1955) es un director y productor de cine documental con más de cuarenta años de recorrido en la industria. Comenzó su carrera como director de fotografía, trabajando con cineastas como Carlos Saura, Fernando Trueba, Alain Tanner o Víctor Erice, para después pasar a la dirección de documentales. Asaltar los cielos (1996), largometraje pionero en el documental en nuestro país, abrió el camino al género en España. Desde entonces ha dirigido películas y series para su productora López-Li Films, como El Bosco. El jardín de los sueños (2016); Goya, el ojo que escucha (2022), y España, la primera globalización (2021), un fenómeno social que se convirtió en el documental más visto del año. Sus películas se han seleccionado para festivales internacionales como los de Berlín, Venecia, Buenos Aires, San Sebastián, Toronto o Nueva York y su trayectoria ha sido premiada con numerosos galardones entre los que destacan tres premios Goya, un Ondas y una nominación a los Emmy. En 2022 recibió la Medalla de Plata de la Comunidad de Madrid en reconocimiento por ser «el autor de uno de los mejores documentales sobre el legado español en el mundo».
