El doctor Francisco Carmona (Jaén, 1959) es el referente nacional en el diagnóstico y tratamiento de la endometriosis y otras patologías ginecológicas benignas, incluyendo los miomas y las malformaciones del aparato genital. Recientemente ha llevado a cabo el primer trasplante de útero de España. Es profesor titular de la Universidad de Barcelona y Jefe del Servicio de Ginecología del Hospital Clínic de Barcelona. Ha publicado más de 200 artículos, es revisor de varias revistas científicas y es socio numerario de la Sociedad Española de Ginecología y fundador de la Society of Endometriosis and Uterine Disorders.
