Author Biography
Wendy Madera nació en la ciudad de México en el 1975, de padre dominicano y madre mexicana. Es la tercera generación de tres mujeres que han emigrado por amor. Desde pequeña se convirtió en un ratón de biblioteca, amó los libros desde su más tierna infancia. Ganó varios concursos literarios en la escuela primaria y secundaria. Posteriormente se tituló de ingeniería en sistemas y computación. Su verdadera pasión siempre fue escribir. Por tal razón decidió participar en el IV Concurso Literario de Historias Migrantes. Su obra, Tres Generaciones Migrantes, fue la ganadora de dicho concurso. En su exitoso blog: Migrante por Amor escribe historias reales de emigrantes, las cuales recibe de inmigrantes de todas partes del mundo. Las mismas son leídas por la autora en diversas emisoras de radio en los Estados Unidos, Canadá, Sudamérica y Europa. Su primer libro Emigar es para Valientes es un ensayo íntimo y autobiográfico.
