Guillermo Arriaga: Ganador del Premio Alfaguara 2020, ha publicado las novelas Escuadrón Guillotina (1991), Un dulce olor a muerte (1994), El búfalo de la noche (1999) y la colección de cuentos Retorno 201. Su obra ha sido traducida a dieciocho idiomas. Escribió las películas Amores perros, 21 gramos y Babel, que forman una trilogía que apostó por la narrativa no lineal y que reflexiona sobre el peso de la vida por encima de la muerte. Escribió además Los tres entierros de Melquiades Estrada. En el 2008 presentó su ópera prima como director: The Burning Plain. Recientemente produjo y coescribió la historia de Desde allá, primera película iberoamericana en ganar el León de Oro en el Festival de Cine de Venecia.
