Manuel López San Martín realizó estudios de Ciencias políticas y Administración pública, y fue presidente de la Asociación de alumnos en la Universidad Iberoamericana. Es un periodista y politólogo con amplia trayectoria en los medios de comunicación de México: ha publicado columnas y artículos de opinión en diarios como El Universal, Reforma, Crónica y El Financiero, y ha participado en diversos espacios radiofónicos, como conductor y colaborador en W Radio, Radio Fórmula, Ibero 90.9, Radio Capital y Radio Trece. Obtuvo el Premio Nacional de Periodismo en 2014 y el del Club de Periodistas de México, en la categoría de Innovación editorial y de contenidos. Es conductor de República MX, todas las noches por ADN 40, y de la segunda emisión de MVS noticias en MVS radio; además, publica su columna política, "Definiciones", en El Heraldo de México.
