Author Biography

Conrado Xalabarder (Barcelona, 1964), es un especialista de reconocido prestigio en el ámbito de las bandas sonoras, creador de la web www.mundobso.com, la mayor web de bandas sonoras comentadas del mundo. Crítico de bandas sonoras en la revista Fotogramas, ha colaborado escribiendo artículos en medios como El Periódico de Catalunya, La Vanguardia, la Revista de la Academia del Cine Español, etc. Profesor de la asignatura de Bandas Sonoras en las Universidades Pompeu Fabra y Vic, y conferenciante en multitud de otras Universidades, Conservatorios, Escuelas de Cine, etc, por toda España y América. Autor de varios libros: Enciclopedia de los Oscar (Ediciones B), Enciclopedia de las Bandas Sonoras (Ediciones B), Música de Cine: Una ilusión óptica (LibrosEnRed), y colaborador en varios libros colectivos. Es miembro de la Organización del Festival Internacional de Música de Cine de Úbeda (y del actual Festival de Córdoba). Como profesor, ha compartido charlas, clases y conferencias con compositores de la talla de Michael Giacchino, Dave Grusin, Ludovic Bource, Bruno Coulais, Patrick Doyle, Mark Isham, Bruce Broughton, John Scott, Joel McNeely, Christopher Young, Wataru Hokoyama, Christopher Lennertz, Blake Neely, Bear McCreary, Lolita Ritmanis, Kristopher Carter, Michael McCuistion, Boris Slavov, Trevor Morris, Richard Bellis, así como a un amplio número de compositores españoles. Ha entrevistado a compositores (Jerry Goldsmith, Ennio Morricone, Maurice Jarre, Pino Donaggio, Elmer Bernstein, Luis Bacalov, John Addison, etc) cuyas experiencias y visiones han sido decisivas en la creación de "El Guion Musical en el Cine".
