Valeria Gallo estudió la carrera de Diseño. Aunque no sabía qué era eso, estaba segura de que quería vivir de dibujar. Así lo hizo hasta que también empezó a inventar sus propias historias.
Es autora de los libros En sus zapatos, Nunca es demasiado circo y ¿Feminismo?, ¡eso qué!, y ha ilustrado más de cuarenta libros escritos por alguien más. Ha participado en exposiciones colectivas e individuales en México, Colombia y España. Actualmente imparte clases de narrativa gráfica e ilustración en la Facultad de Arte y Diseño de la unam, y fue parte del Sistema Nacional de Creadores de Arte del Fonca de 2018 a 2020. Gina Jaramillo es autora de literatura infantil y cofundadora de las librerías La Morajela y Orion Kids. Ha dedicado gran parte de su carrera a las infancias: impulsa el colectivo Niñeces Presentes, y es curadora y desarrolladora de contenidos del Encuentro Internacional de Infancias y Juventudes Libres, Diversas y Creadoras de la Cátedra José Emilio Pacheco de la UNAM En 2022 participó en TED Talk x con la plática "Infancias libres, el futuro es ahora".
