Extraido de la nueva Nota de Autor: "En la fecha en que se publicó esta investigación no tuvo una amplia difusión sino que su diseminación se limitó a un grupo de ingenieros agrónomos. No obstante, considero que la información presentada constituye una representación bastante exacta de cómo era la situación de la agricultura colombiana hasta 1952, por lo que este trabajo pudiera servir de base para evaluar los avances logrados desde esa fecha hasta el presente."
Author Biography
Gregorio Beltrán Galindo recibió el título de Master of Science (MS) en Economía Agrícola de la Universidad de Wisconsin en 1947 y durante los siguientes cuarenta años trabajó como Economista Agrícola para diversas instituciones en Colombia, Venezuela y Estados Unidos, incluyendo el Ministerio de Agricultura y Cría de Venezuela y el Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo en Washington D.C.
