Author Biography
Erik Lindegren nació el 5 de agosto de 1910 en Luleå y falleció el 31 de mayo de 1968 en Estocolmo. Poeta y periodista, dirigió la revista Prisma. Publicó en 1942, en su propia editorial, Mannen utan väg (El hombre sin camino), un libro rupturista que abrió nuevas sendas para la poesía nórdica, especialmente desde la corriente bautizada por la crítica comofyrtiotalismen (poesía de los 40). Su trabajo estuvo estrechamente ligado a la música y escribió libretos de ópera. Fue traductor al sueco de las obras de Saint-John Perse, Rainer Maria Rilke, T.S. Eliot y William Faulkner. Fue amigo del poeta y latinoamericanista Artur Lundkvist y del poeta del modernismo suecofinlandés Rabbe Enckell.
