Uva de Aragón was born in Havana in 1944 and resides in Miami. She was deputy director of the Cuban Research Institute (CRI) at Florida International University (FIU), where she served as a professor. For many years she was a columnist for Diario Las Américas. He has published in all genres and his titles include Morir de exilio, El caimán ante el mirro and the novel Memoria del Silencio.
Through the chronicles presented in this book, the author offers a profound and objective look into the history of the Cuban Republic from 1902 through 1958.
