Author Biography
Carles Porta i Gaset (Vila-sana, Lleida, 1963) es periodista, escritor, guionista y productor audiovisual. Empezó su carrera en el diario Segre y pasó después a TV3, donde ejerció de corresponsal de guerra y se especializó en reportajes y documentales. De su obra literaria destacan Tor, la montaña maldita (2005), Fago. Si te dicen que tu hermano es un asesino (2012, premio Huertas Clavería de Periodismo), Le llamaban padre (2015, premio Godó de Periodismo), La farmacéutica. 492 días secuestrada (2021), Crímenes. Diez casos reales (2022) y Crímenes. Pecados capitales (2023). En paralelo, ha creado su propia productora de programas de televisión y radio, además de dirigir un largometraje, Segundo origen (2015). Sus podcasts en castellano y en catalán Le llamaban padre (2016), Tor (2018), El segrest (2020), Por qué matamos (2021-2023) y Crims (2019-2023) han superado los veinticinco millones de reproducciones desde su estreno, y a su vez este último ha sido galardonado en 2021 con el premio Ondas al Mejor Programa de Radio y el Premi Nacional de Comunicació.
