Cuando busco la inspiraci n, pido o me preparo un caf (siempre con leche), cojo mi bol grafo de tinta azul o coloco mis manos sobre el teclado, seg n est en alguna cafeter a agradable o en el silencioso despacho de mi casa, y empiezo a escribir. Y escribo cosas, cosas que pasan, que son verdad, cosas que imagino, que ni suceden ni suceder n, cosas que te har n sonre r o llorar, cosas en las que seguir s pensando durante un tiempo o cosas que olvidar s justo al pasar de p gina. Y doy un peque o sorbo a mi taza de caf , todav a caliente. Historias en las que la vida, con todos sus aspectos, buenos o malos, es la gran protagonista. Relatos de amores no confesados, de zapatos m gicos, de ancianos entra ables, de ilusionistas desilusionados, de sorprendentes infidelidades, de contagios cotidianos, de idas y venidas entre el cielo y el infierno, de locuras en pijama, de inquietantes herbolarios... y degusto de nuevo el caf , ya m s templado. Me pierdo entre sus escenarios; los concurridos mercados de Marrakech, las estrechas y h medas calles venecianas, un aut ntico caf de Nueva York, un hospital parisino, y c mo no, alg n que otro rinc n de mi querida Barcelona. Y cuando termino de pasear, de husmear, de so ar por sus callejuelas, encontrando el fin a estas historias, siempre sucede lo mismo y, la verdad, es un fastidio porque cuando echo mano a la taza, sin haber sido consciente, se me ha enfriado el caf . EL CULTURAL (diario EL MUNDO): Deber amos preguntarnos por qu libros como este de Isaac Pach n (Badalona, 1978) no son publicados por una editorial comercial, mientras que otros que se leen con mucho menos gusto y facilidad s lo son. Jam s hab a tropezado con un libro autopublicado con una cubierta y un t tulo tan llamativos. Tampoco con un contenido tan interesante. Da gusto poder decir: lectores, editores, agentes, lean a Pach n. An menle a escribir m s, publ quenle en condiciones de llegar a muchos lectores. Cosas que escrib mientras se me enfriaba el caf es un libro de relatos. De los 28 textos que lo conforman, s lo un par no alcanzan al magn fico nivel medio del conjunto. Hay media docena de estupenda factura. Mi favorito es "Bellini", un juego de dobles que regala algunos giros sutiles nada manidos, y un final redondo. Le siguen, en mi orden de preferencias, "Cruda irrealidad", "El piso de arriba" y el muy delicado "El pr stamo". Lo que m s me gusta de estos cuentos es su cotidianeidad y un gusto muy personal por lo peque o peque as an cdotas, sentimientos cargados de delicadeza, situaciones en que el eje de la acci n es un gui o, un tic, un bostezo. Isaac Pach n narra lo diminuto que llena nuestras existencias, y consigue hacerlo relevante. Es un libro que se devora, y que deja al lector con ganas de m s. Qu maravilla.
