Along with his ocean adventures, Lindholm has drafted text for an executive order for the White House and has briefed members of the House and Senate on issues of marine science and policy. He works as the Chair of the Department of Marine Science at California State University, Monterey Bay. James Lindholm's diverse writing portfolio includes textbooks, peer-reviewed scientific journal articles, and the Chris Black series of action/adventure novels.
