Today, the majority of the world's population lives in a country with falling marriage rates, a phenomenon with profound impacts on women, gender, and sexuality. Sarah Lamb is Barbara Mandel Professor of Humanistic Social Sciences and Professor of Anthropology and Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at Brandeis University. She is also the author of White Saris and Sweet Mangoes: Aging, Gender, and Body in North India.
