Author Biography
Mariano Sigman obtuvo su doctorado en neurociencia en Nueva York y fue investigador en París antes de volver a Argentina. Es un referente en el mundo en la neurociencia de las decisiones, en neurociencia y educación, y en la neurociencia de la comunicación humana. Es uno de los directores del proyecto Human Brain Project, el esfuerzo más vasto del mundo para entender y emular el cerebro humano. Ha trabajado con magos, cocineros, ajedrecistas, músicos y artistas plásticos para reunir el conocimiento de la neurociencia a distintos aspectos de la cultura humana. Ha desarrollado además una extensa carrera de divulgación científica que incluye columnas en las principales radios de Argentina, programas de televisión y cientos de artículos publicados en distintos medios editoriales del mundo.
Santiago Bilinkis es emprendedor y tecnólogo. Egresado del Colegio Nacional de Buenos Aires, estudió Economía en la Universidad de San Andrés, donde se graduó con Medalla de Oro. Realizó estudios de posgrado sobre inteligencia artificial, robótica, biotecnología, neurociencia y nanotecnología junto a los más renombrados científicos del mundo en la Singularity University, ubicada en una sede de la NASA en Silicon Valley. Como tecnólogo, realiza diversas actividades de divulgación, incluyendo una columna en el programa radial Basta de todo, otra en el diario La Nación y artículos en distintos medios. En 2013 fue parte del documental de Discovery Channel 2111, junto a figuras internacionales de la talla de Ray Kurzweil, James Canton y Aubrey de Grey. Fue distinguido como Personalidad Destacada en el campo de la Ciencia y la Tecnología por la Ciudad de Buenos Aires, obtuvo el Premio Domingo Faustino Sarmiento otorgado por el Honorable Senado de la Nación y también el Premio Konex 2018 como uno de los emprendedores más innovadores de la última década. Co-fundó varias empresas tecnológicas, entre ellas Officenet, Restorando, Sirena y Trocafone. Integró el directorio de algunas organizaciones de la sociedad civil, como la Fundación Endeavor, el CIPPEC, Chequeado.com, Forge y la Comisión Fulbright. Es también uno de los organizadores de TEDxRíodelaPlata. En los últimos años realizó presentaciones en numerosas universidades, incluyendo el MIT Sloan School of Management y Harvard Business School, así como en diferentes empresas y organizaciones públicas.Su primer libro fue Pasaje al futuro (Sudamericana, 2014).
