Author Biography
Elvira Sastre (Segovia, 1992) empezó su carrera a través de un blog: Relocos y Recuerdos, y muy joven ganó el premio de poesía Emiliano Barral. Cursó el grado universitario de Estudios Ingleses y la maestría en Traducción Literaria por la Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Se fue haciendo un nombre en el circuito cultural madrileño y en el mundo de la poesía contemporánea española hasta llegar a participar en eventos poéticos acompañada de cantautores consagrados como Adriana Moragues, Diego Ojeda y Dani Hare, e importantes poetas como Carlos Salem y Escandar Algeet. Ha llegado a compartir escenario con artistas nacionales e internacionales de la talla de Joaquín Sabina, Benjamín Prado, Jorge Drexler, Rubén Pozo y Leonor Watling.
Ha publicado los poemarios Cuarenta y tres maneras de soltarse el pelo y Baluarte, que ya va por la tercera edición, que se ha traducido al inglés como Bastion y con el que aún se mantiene en los primeros puestos de los libros de poesía más vendidos de España. Tú la Acuarela / Yo la Lírica casa la poesía de Elvira con las acuarelas de Adriana Moragues. Tras una gira exitosa por Estados Unidos y México, publicó Ya nadie baila y La soledad de un cuerpo acostumbrado a la herida. Ahora compagina su carrera poética con la traducción (Los hijos de Bob Dylan, de Gordon E. McNeer) y la narración, pues prepara su primera novela. Ha participado en festivales literarios como la Feria del Libro de Bogotá (FILBO), el Festival Eñe, la Feria del Libro de Madrid y de Soria, el Festival de Narradores Orales de Segovia, el Festival Inverso o el Encuentro Internacional de Poesía Ciudad de México y otras jornadas culturales.
