Richard Bauman is Distinguished Professor Emeritus of Folklore at Indiana University and former director of the Center for Intercultural Studies in Folklore and Ethnomusicology at the University of Texas at Austin. Roger D. Abrahams is Hum Rosen Professor (Emeritus) of Folklore and Folklife at the University of Pennsylvania.
