While raising their six children, Diane started writing non-fiction. Later, she decided it would be a nice escape to write fiction plus a way to keep sane with a full and noisy household. When she started self-publishing her Amish stories, Diane found being in control of all aspects of publishing was rewarding. She requested the book rights back from her previously published books so she could self-publish them.
