Author Biography
Nací en Carabanchel (Madrid), a una edad sin duda demasiado temprana. Me costó adaptarme al colegio, donde me llamaron "Quique el nuevo" hasta octavo. Allí me enseñaron a leer, escribir y dibujar, pero sobre todo le cogí gusto al teatro. Cada día estrenaba una obra nueva, como "¡Ay, mi tripa!" o "Me torcí un tobillo al pisar mal el bordillo". Tras una febril adolescencia en la que devoré libros y tebeos a razón de siete docenas por semana, ingresé en la universidad. Fui mal orientado por una moneda que lancé al aire en la fila de inscripción, y acabé en una ingeniería. Solo me salvaron de la locura las escapadas que hacía para buscar a mi novia en la Autónoma. Después me casé (sí, con la misma chica, que me sigue gustando como entonces), tuve dos hijos y ¡madre! cómo cambia la cosa. Sólo me dedico un rato a mí mismo cuando están dormidos, porque el resto es suyo, hasta el día en que digan "Papá, ¿no tienes nada que hacer, por ejemplo, en Pernambuco?". Es por eso que leo y escribo a las cinco de la mañana. Y me acuesto a la misma hora que ellos (así es que, por favor, no me llamen a partir de las nueve).
